The Texas State Ice Hockey team was formed in 2011 and competed for the first time in Division II of the American Collegiate Hockey Association during the 2011-2012 season against such teams as: Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Dallas Baptist, and UTSA. With one season under our belt, the foundation has been laid for the program to continue to grow and compete. In the next few years, our goal is to establish ourselves as a solid program in the eyes of both the Texas State community and the Southern hockey community. In the long term, we aspire to be competitive at the National level.
