Weightlifting Club

Weightlifting, often referred to as Olympic Weightlifting due to its inclusion in the Summer Olympics, focuses on two main lifts: the snatch and the clean & jerk. In competition, athletes aim to execute these lifts with peak strength and precision, striving to achieve the highest possible combined total weight.

Our club holds practice five days a week, with sessions carefully structured and led by Head Coach DJ Bray, alongside our assistant coaches. We provide personalized instruction and guidance to help members prepare for competitions throughout the year.

Our mission extends beyond mastering skill and technique—we strive to cultivate a culture of hard work, dedication, and competitive excellence in the sport of weightlifting. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced lifter, we welcome all who share a passion for the sport!

Practice Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 5 PM at Bobcat Barbell in San Marcos
