Faculty/Staff IDs remain active after retirement. The system typically updates to retired status about a week after your last day of employment. Once updated, you can visit Auxiliary Services to exchange your current card for a “retired” ID card. They can replace lost IDs for $20 and update your photo if you'd like.

A dependent is someone who lives in your household, support financially, and meets IRS criteria to be claimed on your tax return. They must be either a qualifying child (like your son or daughter) or a qualifying relative (like a parent or sibling) and must meet specific tests for relationship, income, residency, and support.

Current members can sponsor up to three guests per visit. Guests must show a photo ID and sign a waiver.

How to Start

• Just complete the Start Payroll Deduction Form.
• Once enrolled, your monthly membership fee will be automatically deducted from your paycheck.
• Sign up by the 10th to pay a prorated amount for the current month.
• Sign up after the 10th, and your first payment will cover both the current and next month to align with payroll processing.

Example: If you sign up on September 8, you'll pay a prorated amount for September, with the first deduction appearing on your October 1 paycheck.

Example: If you sign up on September 11, your first payment—covering both September and October—will be deducted from your November 1 paycheck.

How to Stop

• You can cancel payroll deduction anytime by submitting the Stop Payroll Deduction Form.
• To avoid another deduction, submit your cancellation by the 10th of the month.
• If submitted after the 10th, one final deduction may still occur.
• Your membership will remain active through the end of the billing period covered by your last payment.
• Reminder: Payroll deductions cannot be canceled retroactively.
• For example, cancellation requests for October 1 must be received by 5pm on September 10.

Human Resources will continue to offer a subsidy to help reduce your out-of-pocket cost for FY26. Faculty with a nine- or twelve-month appointment and staff employed at 50% FTE or more are eligible. The FY26 subsidy is available while funds last and only applies within FY26. Once funds are exhausted, memberships will revert to the full monthly rate of $26.25.
