  • Team Building and Challenge Course programs are only available at certain times of the year.

    Please consider submitting your program request at least one (1) month in advance, up to one (1) year.

  • Located at University Camp in Wimberley, TX, the Challenge Course is comprised of both High and Low Course elements!

    High Ropes Challenge Course

    High Elements focus on individual achievements by providing the opportunity to push oneself both physically and mentally up to 30' in the air.

    Low Ropes Challenge Course

    Low Elements focus on the group as a whole by presenting problem-solving scenarios. Groups find success by working together to unlock each member's strengths.

  • Portables Team Building

    We bring our portable ground based initiatives and problem solving to you! Great for any class, residence hall, or groups with transportation barriers.

    • $75 per facilitator charge is included for half day programs and $120 for full day programs, in addition to the per person rate below.
    • A minimum of 2 facilitators is required for Low Ropes Programs.
    • A minimum of 3 facilitators is required for High Ropes Programs.
    • In addition to the facilitator fee, groups are charged a ‘per person’ rate, based on the total number of participants in that group's team building program.
    • All groups will be charged for a minimum of 10 participants at the group rate designated below.
  • Team Bonding

    • Duration: Group is only able to commit less than three (3) hours to a program. 
    • Location: Can be conducted on-campus, or at University Camp. Team Bonding programs at University Camp will not utilize the challenge course.
    • Focuses on fostering interpersonal relationships and creating a sense of camaraderie among team members. 
    • Activities that can include icebreakers or other games/initiatives are designed to help group members get to know one another better. The emphasis is on building trust, stronger relationships, and strengthening personal connections that contribute to a positive team atmosphere.

    Team Building 

    • Duration: Group is able to commit three (3) or more hours to a program.
    • Location: Can be conducted on-campus, or at University Camp. Team Building programs at University Camp can utilize the lows or highs challenge course.
    • A more outcome-oriented approach. 
    • Programs will include some activities that could be found in a “Team Bonding” program, but are carefully chosen to align with the team's specifically requested objectives, outcomes, and challenges. 
    • Team Building programs focus on developing skills such as: 
      • Communication;
      • Problem-solving;
      • Collaboration;
      • Leadership;
      • and numerous others to choose from. 
    • Outcomes are measurable as the group progresses through activities, utilizing intentional discussion and debriefing as often as possible. Debrief discussions are directly tied to improving team performance and achieving organizational success.
  • Texas State University Departments: 

    • Payment will be processed via IDT at the conclusion of the program.
    • Payments being processed via IDT are not required to submit a deposit payment at time of program confirmation. 

    Non-TXST Groups, Non-IDT paying Groups:

    • A deposit payment must be paid within one-week of program confirmation. The deposit payment amount is the facilitator fee for your program.
    • The remaining balance will be calculated based on the actual number of participants. 
      • The group organizer will receive a final invoice post-program. Final payment must be received within one week of the program date. 
    • Payment can be made electronically, over the phone, or in-person with the Sewell Park Outdoor Center, at: 512-245-2004. 
    • Payments accepted include: Cash, Check, all major credit cards.

Program Fees

The cost of a program is determined by (A) the group's status with Texas State University, and (B) the type/length of program requested.

All prices listed below are the "per participant" rate.
